When you are planning a weeklong excursion into the jungle, out fishing, out to camp or just in your own especially humid backyard you should look into a mosquito hat. When you are outside on a ninety degree day it is because you are out there for a reason, not because you wish to sacrifice yourself up to insects. Mosquito hats are wide brimmed hats that have a veil of mosquito netting attached to the outer edge of the brim all the way around. The veils drop to about the shoulder area and have a drawstring. If you pull the drawstring tight it keeps you from getting bitten on your head, face or ears. Some mosquito hats can be made to attach to full body mosquito suits if you are planning to spend a lot of time out in the wilderness with the little lovely germ carrying blood suckers.

Gardeners may be especially interested in purchasing any type of mosquito hats. When you are down in the dirt with your face towards the ground the last thing you want is to get bitten right between the eyes. Mosquito hats will also protect gardeners from a myriad of other flying insects including black flies, ticks, dragonflies and wasps. Mosquito hats will also be a great source of shade for your head and neck while you nurture your tomatoes.

If you are part of the military chances are you are quite familiar with mosquito hats. Mosquito hats should be part of your standard issue to keep your face protected on nights spent in the swamps. Mosquito hats may not be the same as a good down bed, but when you are out in a tent at night they do help to enhance the quality of your life if even for a few short moments.

So, before you run out to spend a day by the pond harvesting string beans go out and get yourself a mosquito hat. Your ears will thank you when they are not sucked dry by the end of the day.
